About: Elan Wellness is a Health and Wellness company committed to providing high quality natural products that focuses on both the US and Mexico markets. The guiding philosophy behind Elan Wellness is harnessing the power of mother nature through natural, plant-based ingredients.

Logo and Branding Process:  Before working on the Ha'lana packaging, I had the pleasure of designing the custom wordmark, typeface, and branding. During the logo creation process, they wanted a hummingbird logomark* to complement the rounded, custom wordmark of "Ha'lana," symbolizing their CBD products' themes of healing and transformation. As each hummingbird's bright gradient colors stand out in nature, this characteristic was used to ensure each piece was unique. While the wings and upper part of the body maintained consistent coloring, the lower half's colors were altered to match different packaging or branding elements. I also had the pleasure of being asked to create a custom typeface to go along with the Ha'lana logo in the same letter style that would match their branding.

Packaging Concept: Ha'lana wanted their tea and coffee line to be bright, festive, and adorned with fun tropical and abstract botanical shapes. Both the tea and coffee mixes are formulated to be all-natural with broad-spectrum CBD. The coffee line uses premium Colombian coffee mixed with delicious flavors, while the tea line incorporates senna extract, fiber, and soothing flavors. Keeping this information in mind, and depending on the flavor of each product, specific colors were chosen to complement the hummingbird logomark and to uniquely represent the ingredients used in each item. To ensure the text was simplified and easy to read, I created a hierarchy and focal point. The main name of each product was made the primary focal point, with the flavor highlighted in its own color bar and specific wording broken down into key bullet points.
